Redken 5th Avenue Premiere School

Our programs provide students with ongoing advanced education leading to opportunities for higher paying jobs. Many of our graduates are working in the best salons, spas, clinics and movie studios.

Enrollees must have at least a 10th grade education received from a state-approved and accredited school. All instructors are licensed and credentialed.

Learn state-approved procedures in all areas of hair service. Using Redken products, learn hair care, conditioning, hair coloring and bleaching. For perming, chemical relaxing or soft curl perm, you will learn safety and how to work with chemicals. Students will learn hair cutting, clipper cutting, skin care, manicure, chemical relaxing, and more.

Must attend Appraisal prior to enrollment.

Classes Start: August 12, 2019.
The program Full Time, 1600 hrs, 3-4 semesters.

Kits & Uniforms: Students are expected to purchase their kits and uniforms from HLPAE Cosmetology Department. Students transferring from another school will need to meet with staff regarding kits. See an itemized tool list of books, supplies, equipment, and materials.

Cosmetologist State Board Exam Review

Barber Stylist

Concentration on haircutting techniques using clippers, trimmers, razor and shears. Learn methods for styling hair using the blow dryer, hair coloring, and perming. Old fashion barber shop shaving to pass state exam. Meets the state requirement for licensing. (1500 hrs.)

Esthetician

Esthetician Level I - Skin Care

Full Time: Approx. 6 months. (Course is designed to be completed in 600 hrs including 360 hours of practical skills which include performing electrical and manual facials, make up and hair removal.)

Includes skin analysis, exfoliation, extraction, massage, aromatherapy, spa back treatment, 12-function machine, and use of other equipment. Also covers face and body waxing, corrective make-up and artificial eyelashes. Our Dermalogica Partnership Program offers excellent preparation for gainful employment in the best salons, spas and clinics. Graduates are prepared for the State Licensing exam for Esthetician.
